B. Tarasiuk stated that in the course of the sitting the parties discussed the vast field of the cooperation issues between Ukraine and European Union, in particular regarding the negotiation process on conclusion of the new Agreement of Association with the free trade zone.
The participants of the meeting scrutinized the issue on the formation of the Parliamentary Assembly that would combine European parliament and the Parliaments of six countries partners of the Eastern Partnership.
The Chairman of the Committee in the course of the press-conference emphasised that in the work of this parliamentary assembly will take part 60 Deputies from the European Parliament and 10 Deputies of the countries-partners of the Eastern partnership (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Belarus).
The participants of the meeting scrutinized the perspectives of the visa relations between Ukraine and EU.
In the framework of the visa politics the parties discussed the issue of elaboration of "roadmap" that is supposed to define the stages and specific principles regarding the gaining of the status of a state ready for the implementation of the visa-free regime by Ukraine.
B. Tarasiuk announced that Eurocommissar Stefan Fühle plans to visit Ukraine soon for the conduction of the consultations with the Ukrainian part regarding the issues of the visa policy in particular.
Borys Tarasiuk informed that during the 14th sitting of the CEI the issues on the economic and sectorial cooperation etc between Ukraine and EU were also discussed.
The attention was also pointed out to the further development of the cooperation between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank.
Regarding the issues of the energy spheres the attention was also pointed out to the fact of the implementation of the Joint Declaration (adopted during the International Investment Conference in the year 2009 on the issues on the modernization of GTS of Ukraine) that is supposed to strengthen the power cooperation between Ukraine and EU and security of the power recourses supply.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian part called the European Parliament and Council of Europe for the adoption of the positive decision regarding the allocation of IMF tranche allocation for Ukraine in the framework of the microfinance assistance of EU.
